A four-day workshop on “Export Procedure and Strategy in respect of Himachal Pradesh” was organized at Himachal Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), by the Industries Department in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) from 20th June to 23rd June 2017.
Giving details of the workshop, a Spokesman for the Industries Department said here today that the main focus of the workshop was on understanding trade procedures, international trade document requirements and risk management involved in the process.
The Spokesman said that management of international payments requirements, which included foreign exchange and international currency transfers involved in the export arena and access to finance specially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) involved in exports, were explained to the participants. He said that the practices involved in exports post GST regime, with a special reference to Himachal Pradesh, MSME Industries was discussed in the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Industries Shri Rajesh Sharma hoped that such workshops will help in boosting the Exports Potential of the State and will help to encourage MSME to undertake more and more activities in near future.
Director HIPA Mrs. Madhubala Sharma and faculties from IIFT including Dr. Rangarajan (HOD), Prof. Harkirat Singh, Dr. Ram Singh and Dr. Tamanna Chaturvedi, Deputy Director Industries, Shri Sanjay Sharma, General Managers District Industries Centre and Member Secretaries, Single Window Clearance Offices participated in the workshop.
