NIFT Kangra website hacked

It is reported that the the NIFT Kangra, website has been hacked by an eighth semester student of the Institute. As per the Director of the Institution Prof. S Balasidharta, mark sheets of a number of students have been tempered with. The case of hacking was reported to the Sb-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kangra, and a case under sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 120B, IPC, and 65, 66C, 66D of the Information Technology Act had been registered and an investigation started. The SDPO has informed that during investigations they have seized the laptop and the mobile phone of one Alok Kumar, son of Sukh Lal, a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, while taking him into custody for further investigations, he has been arrested for hacking the official website and tampering with his personal mark-sheets along with those of other students.
