Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) organized the three-day Leadership workshop for Tibetan students studying in colleges across India.
The workshop is being attended by 68 Tibetan youth studying in 13 different colleges in India, including Dalai Lama College for Higher Studies, JSS Law College, MSU Baroda, Delhi University, Miranda Homes, St. Josephs College, Darjeeling, Men Tsee Khang and six more.
The first day was marked by a moving session on Tibet and Leadership by President Dr. Lobsang Sangay of the Central Tibetan Administration. In his hour-long session, President Dr. Sangay highlighted keys to achieving leadership skills.
“First thing about leadership is to take responsibility and second is to become action oriented. At this point, all of you must have a well thought-out ambition of what you want to become and how you can contribute to the community. Your plans and will should transmute to ambitions and later into actions,” said the president.
He urged the students to use the insights and information inculcated during the workshop for practical purposes at college and in life.
Following his presentation, President Dr. Sangay engaged in an interactive session with the young Tibetan students.
