As a part of its continued CSR initiatives, IYM joins hand with various Engineering Institutes and reputed NGOs across India to launch Yamaha Training School with NCVT Certification recognized by Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Yamaha Certification. At YTS, economically weaker youth, school dropouts receive 2-wheeler technical training that will enable them to become expert 2-wheeler technicians and thereafter, they could be employed gainfully at Yamaha Dealerships and become productive member of the society. A Total 29 No’s YTSs are already been operational and another 08 are ready to be open soon in pan India and making the figure of 37 Yamaha Training Schools. These YTSs are opened at prime technical institutes in respective cities. In line with this drive and as the first step towards skill and entrepreneurship development, the HIET Group of Institutes, Shahpur, Kangra entered into an MOU with the YTS on the 21st November 2016, for starting up a facility at their campus at Shahpur. The MOU was signed by the Director of HIET Group of Institutions and Mr Omogori Takayuki, General Manager service, Yamaha Motors Sales India Pvt. Ltd. in the presence of the Chairman HIET Group of Institues, Sh Narendra Rana and the Vice Chairman Sh Raman Kaistha. With this it envisaged that the unemployed youth of Kangra and the surrounding districts will be able to get the necessary training and start to earn a healthy income.
