HPCA’s star player Rishi Dhawan awarded with MADHAVRAO SCINDIA AWARD

Highest wicket taker in Ranji Trophy in 2013-14

Dharamshala, 19th November 2014: *Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association is
honoured to announce that its star player, Rishi Dhawan has been awarded
with Madhavrao Scindia Award for taking highest number of wickets in
2013-14 Ranji Trophy by BCCI.
Rishi who took 49 wickets @ 20.3 in 8 matches, will be awarded with a
trophy and a cheque for Rs. 2.5 Lacs in an award ceremony this Friday.
Expressing his excitement on this occasion, Rishi Dhawan said, "I can't
describe my happiness and joy. It is an honour to receive this prestigious
award from BCCI and it award will give me and my fellow players from HPCA a
boost to perform better. I would like to thank HPCA for the support they
have provided over the years. The world class facilities and infrastructure
established in the state will help players like me to excel in the game of
cricket."
Anurag Thakur, President, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association said, "It is
a moment of great pride and honour for all of us at HPCA. Rishi has time
and again proven his mettle and this award is a testimony to that. I am
sure more and more players will follow Rishi's footsteps and give their
best performance. On behalf of the entire HPCA team, I congratulate Rishi
and wish him best for his future."
The others who will be awarded alongside Rishi includes names like,
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Parvez Rasool, R. Vinay Kumar, Kedar Jadhav, Rahul
Tripathi, B. Anirudh, Shubham Gill, Smriti Mandhana. Dilip Vengsarkar will
be awarded with Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and Anil
Chaudhary with Best Umpire in domestic cricket.
