Deccan Airways offers to start flights in HP

Shimla – Chairman and Managing Director of Deccan Airways Capt. Gopinath in one to one investor meet with Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at Bengaluru in Karnataka today offered to start multiple flights to Shimla, Kullu and Dharamsala and Kangra from Delhi and Chandigarh and vice-versa.  He placed his proposal to start three flights per day to Shimla from Delhi and as many as two flights from Chandigarh to Kullu and assured that after the necessary clearance, the services can be started in a month to which the State Government agreed in principle. Evincing keen interest in the offer, the Chief Minister asked to submit the proposal soon so that the government could examine as it was interested to enhance air connectivity.

This follows the holding of investors meet with big business houses to promote tourism in the State in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as an Institutional Partner in a bid to promote HP as a favoured destination for investment in Himachal Pradesh. “We want to develop an IT park in Himachal Pradesh and the exercise on it will be soon started on reaching Shimla”’ said the Chief Minister while interacting with the entrepreneurs keen to invest in IT sector.
‘TVS’ motor company limited committed to open engine manufacturing plant in larger scale and expand the unit. The representative of TVS, who called upon the Chief Minister sought expansion and additional investment in the State.  They expressed their happiness with the co-operation they were getting from the Himachal Government and committed to invest rupees 300 crore more. They assured to open engine manufacturing plant of TVS scooties in larger Scale. The TVS also committed to start social welfare activities under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The Chief Minister assured all possible co-operations to them in their initiative.
