The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP while ridiculing the State Government has said that all the hullabaloo about launching of Food Security Scheme in Himachal Pradesh with such a great fanfare is nothing but a ploy to befool the masses, especially the lower strata of the people. The spokesperson of the BJYM, Karan Nanda in a press statement issued here has said that the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his ministerial colleagues should first explain out as to why this scheme has been launched on the eve of Parliamentary polls when the Public Distribution system is already in shambles. Nanda said that edible commodities being supplied to the consumers at the fair price shops are either altogether not available or are of poor quality. He said that the state government should also tell the people as to what kind of infrastructure and mechanism has been set up or would be put in place as the PDS is already malfunctioning scandalously under the new Congress regime. The employing of the same infrastructure for implementing Food Security Scheme would for sure further overburden and aggravate the woes of the consumers who have been ludicrously targeted to benefit from the Scheme to sway them to Congress fold keeping an eye on the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nanda said that the incumbent Congress Government in the State had miserably failed to fulfill even a single promise made during the last Legislative polls and now sensing its gross failures was indulging in such gimmickries. He said that Modi Charisma is also tellingly showing its impact in Himachal Pradesh as well and all the ploys being employed by the Congress leaders in the State would fall flat on its face and the BJP would score a resounding victory on all the four LS seats at stake in Himachal.
