SSB is celebrating Golden Jubilee of its Raising

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is a Central Armed Police Force under the aegis of MHA and deployed on Indo-Nepal an Indo-BhutanBorders. This year SSB is celebrating Golden Jubilee of its Raising. In order to commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Force, its two Training Centres i.e. Medic Training Centre (MTC) Shimla and Telecom Training Centre (TTC) Kusumpti in collaboration with Red Cross Society Shimla organized a voluntary Blood Donation camp on 13.09.2013 at MTC Fir Hill Shimla campus. Officers, trainees and staff from these Training
Centres actively participated in the event. Blood Donation Camp was conducted under the supervision of Blood Bank DDU Hospital Shimla.
Red Cross Society Shimla was represented on the occasion by Smt. Chandana Roy w/o Chief Secretary HP Govt. - Vice-Chairperson (HWS), Smt. Poonam Chauhan w/o Sh. B.S.Chauhan (Retd. IAS) - Honorary Secretary (HWS), Smt. Sharmila Gupta w/o Principal Conservator of Forest H.P. - Executive Member (HWS), Smt. Phiroza Vijay Singh Executive Member (HWS), Smt. Neelam Vij Executive Member (HWS).
Dignitaries from Ex. SSB Paramilitary Welfare Association also actively participated including, Shri B.R.Bhardwaj Ex. IG, Shri S.C.Thakur Ex. Commandant, Shri Roop Singh Ex. Dy. Commandant, Shri Sita Ram Verma Ex. Asstt. Commandant, Shri R.C.Garg Ex. Assistant and Sh. Gita Ram Chauhan Ex. Sub-Inspector to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Force.
Dr. Sunil Sumbli Commandant (Medical) MTC SSB in his address said that healthy adult can donate blood every three months without any problem as withdrawn blood volume is restored within 24 hours. Highlighting the importance of blood donation he said that a drop of blood donated can be instrumental in saving precious lives.
