Notification of Vacancies : – The Govt.of HP vide Notification No. Home-(A)B(1)-5/06 dated 4/07/2012 and DGP/HP/Shimla letter Endst.No. P-II(3)Rec(Consts.)/2011-19662-85 dated 9/07/2012, has conveyed the approval for filling up 132 vacant posts of Constables Male and 44 posts of Constable (Female) in the Pay Scale of Rs./- 5910/-20200/- with grade pay of Rs/-1900/-.from this District by way of direct recruitment.
1. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: –
The recruitment against above posts will be made by inviting application forms on the prescribed format will be submitted by candidates (Male & Female) on or before 31st. July 2012 up to 5 .00 P.M. for male candidates and for female candidates on or before 5/08/2012 up to 5.00 P.M. in the office of the Superintendent of police District Kangra at Dharamshala of which he/she is only bonafied resident of Kangra District as per record along with processing fee of Rs.120/- (Rs. One Hundred and Twenty) only shall be charged from each candidate of General category, and Rs.30/-(Rs. Thirty) only from each candidate belonging to the categories of SC/ST/OBC/W.F.F./ IRDP/Female Wards of Ex. Servicemen in the shape of Bank draft/IPOs to be drown in favour of “HP.POLICE RECTRUITMENT BOARD SHIMLA 171002”. Only such candidates will be eligible to apply for these posts whose name are registered with any of Employment Exchange/Sub-Employment Exchange in Kangra District/HP.State up to 31/7/2012. Any application not accompanied with the requisite processing fee or not received by the last date for receipt of application will not be entertained and will be rejected. It is certified that the processing fee submitted by the candidates will be non refundable, in any case. The cutoff date for calculation of upper and lower age limits of the candidates will be 30/06/2012. The dates for recruitment will be notified separately.
Whereas the candidates participating in the recruitment must bring original as well as attested photo copies of certificate of their age, educational, qualification (10+2 and above), bonafied resident of Kangra district Himachal Pradesh State, Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe, latest OBC/ IRDP certificates, Certificate of Ward of Freedom Fighter, Ward of Ex-Serviceman certificate alongwith registration of Employment Exchange, Original registration card of Employment Exchange, along with 4 pass port size latest photographs and candidate of Home Guards alongwith Home Guard Service certificate issued by the concerned Commandant Home Guards etc.
NOTE:- The category once mentioned by the candidate in his application form/ recruitment form will be taken as final and will not be re-considered or changed during further recruitment process.

Note : – The cutoff date for calculation of upper and lower age and reserved category certification is 30/6/2012.
2. The educational qualification for appointment to the post of constable reserved for Ex-Servicemen shall be Matric as notified vide HP.Govt. Notification No. Home (A)B(2)4/2003 dated 2/3/2009.
3. Marks for height of the candidates shall be as per recruitment procedure laid down in appendix 12.12A notified by HP.Govt. Notification No. Home(A)A(3)1/2005 Part dated 11/3/2011.
4. The candidates who do not meet the physical standards and do not possess the requisite educational qualifications as mentioned above need not apply.
5. Only those candidates would be considered against Sports Quota who are sponsored by the Director, Youth Services & Sports HP.
3. Reservation: –
Reservation of vacancies for various reserved categories will be as per instructions of the Government which are presently in force as under : –

In case a post reserved under vertical or horizontal reservation cannot be filed from within that category, the post should be kept vacant and matter shall be referred to police head quarters by the respect chairman of Recruitment Committee for further directions.
4. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST
The Recruitment Tests will be consisting of the following: –

The above Physical efficiency test of candidates will be of qualifying nature
1. The Committee shall cause to be entered the record of timing and distance of the physical efficiency test in the candidate’s sheet which will be duly signed by each member of the Committee.
2. Candidates who fail to qualify in any event will be disqualified forthwith and will not participate in the remaining events.
5. MARKS FOR PHYSICAL STANDARD: (M.M = 5)
The Committee shall cause the candidates to be measured for height and in the case of Male candidates for chest expenses. All measurements will be taken by a medical officer, recorded in the candidate sheet and signed by the Medical Officer and countersigned by Member of the Committee. The Committee shall award marks only for height as per the following table: –

Candidate who do not meet the standard prescribed in para No. 2. shall be summarily rejected and will be informed accordingly.
6. WRITTEN TEST: –
The Written examination will be held at District Head Quarters at Dharamshala and will be of 80 marks of objective type of 60 Minutes duration. It will include the following sub groups: –

The Syllabus for the written examination shall be of 10+2 standard accept Mathematics for which syllabus shall be of Matriculation standard. The Evaluation of the answer sheets of written examination will be done through Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Only such candidates shall be deemed to have qualified for suitability cum personality test who secures 50% Marks in the written test in case of those belonging to GC/OBC categories and 40% Marks in the case of those belonging to SC/ST categories.
7. PERSONALITY TEST :-
Personality Test shall be consisting of 15 Marks. The candidates will be called for personality test from amongst those who have qualified, in the ratio of 3 persons for each post. Before admitting a qualified candidate to the personality test, all necessary and relevant documents in original shall have to be produced by the candidates along with a set of attested photo copies. Failure to submit original documents or any documents not found in order as required shall result in immediate disqualification of the candidate.
Note : – Candidates who possess NCC Certificates will be given a weightage of additional 3 marks for NCC (C) certificate and 2 additional marks for NCC (B) certificate in personality test. A candidate, who has both these certificates, will be given marks only for NCC (C) Certificate (out of above 15 marks for personality test) In other words personality test and NCC (C) and NCC (B)certificate wil be maximum of 12 & 3 marks respectively.
8. PUBLICATION OF FINAL RESULT: –
The final result will be the sum total of the marks obtained in the Basic List, Written Test and Personality Test. The final result, showing the marks obtained in each of the three attributes along with the total out of 100 Marks.

The name of Female Ward of Ex-Servicemen candidates should be registered with their concerning Employment Exchanges.
10. MODE OF RECRUITMENT: –
(i) The Recruitment will be carried out by duly constituted Distt. Recruitment Committee headed by the Range Inspector General of Police, other Members being One Commandant, District Superintendent of Police, One Medical Officer of the concerned District. The Committee may co-opt requisite number of GO,s/NGO,s to assist it in the Recruitment Process.
(II) Video graphy of the physical efficiency test and written test will be done for the sake of transparency.
(III) For Recruitment against the reserved post of outstanding sportspersons (as per earmarked roster point), requisition will be placed to the Director, Youth Services and Sports, (HP) Shimla – 2 by the W/IGP/NR/Dharamshala. Those sportsman candidates shall be eligible for recruitment who have registered their names in the Youth Services and Sports, (HP) Shimla.
Note : – Vacancies for Ex-Servicemen shall not be filled up by open/direct recruitment, but the chairman of the Distt. Recruitment Committee shall send requisition to the Secretary Ex-Servicemen Cell Hamirpur to sponsor the names of suitable Ex-Serviceman candidates.

12. MEDICAL EXAMINATION AND VERIFICATION OF CHARACTER AND ANTECEDENTS : –
i) The Medical Examination and Verification of Character and Antecedents of selected candidates will be got done by the Superintendent of Police Distt. Kangra at Dharamshala.
ii) The finally selected candidates against 132 Posts of Constables of (Male) and 44 Posts of (Female) will be offered appointment by the Commandant 2nd.IRBn Sakoh Distt. Kangra.
iii) Complaints, if any of the candidates concerning recruitment process wil be heard and decided by the Chairman-cum- Inspector General of Police Northern Range Dharamshala. Appeals if any against the decision of the Chairman-Recruitment Committee will be heard and decided by the Additional Director General of Police, Armed Police & Training H.P.Shimla. Further, appeal, if any, against the decision of ADGP/AP&T/HP/Shimla will be heard and decided by the Director general of Police Himachal Pradesh Shimla.The decision of Director General of Police shall be final. No complaint/appeal of the candidate will be entertained after the completion of the recruitment process of Kangra District.
