Nine lakh Government School Students to get uniforms next week onwards

All the students from the 1st to +2 will be given free school uniforms with effect from the next week. Initially these will be dispersed among the students belonging to the tribal areas of the state for which the uniforms have already been sent. It is to be noted that the state government issues free uniforms to all the students from the first to the plus 2 levels but the only difference is that the students from the first to the tenth levels are given stitching charges separately while the +1 and the +2 stream students are required to get their uniforms stitched at their own expense. These uniforms are provided under two different government schemes namely the Mahatma Gandhi scheme and the Chief Minister scheme, while in the Mahatma Gandhi scheme cloth for the uniforms and the stitching charges are provided for by the government but in case of the Chief Minister scheme only the cloth for the uniforms is provided to the +1 and +2 stream students. As per the Director Elementary Education, of the Department of School Education Mr. Manmohan Sharma the order for the cloth has already been placed and the dispersal shall start soon.
