A fortnight of Indo-Thailand joint training exercise “Matree” concluded at the Bakloh Cantt, about 90 km from Palampur, this morning. The major area of thrust of the joint training was to understand the operational methodology, interoperability and conduct of tactical operations by a joint command post. The exercise concluded on a counter-terrorism setting. The GOC, Dah Division, while presiding over the event, appreciated both the armies. He said the professionalism, conduct and confidence of both units had resulted in successful completion of the exercise. He further added that such military exercise would strengthen friendly relations between India and Thailand and build up an understanding between the rank and files of both armies. This exercise had benefited both the armies.
