30 November DHARAMSHALA: The Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association in Dharamshala organised an awareness program to foster harmonious relations between the local Indian and Tibetan communities.
The meeting was participated by Additional SP Nihal Chand, Ngodup Dorjee, Secretary of the Department of Security, the Tibetan Settlement officer, Ajay Singh Mankotia, president of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association and representatives from both the communities.
Mr Nihal Chaand, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kangra District, briefed the participants about the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship between Tibetan and Indian communities. He also advised the Tibetans to renew their their Indian Registration Certificate (RC) on time.
The Tibetan Settlement office, Dharamshala will also organise a legal awareness session among Tibetan community to create a better understanding of the Indian law.
