HP UNIVERSITY REGIONAL CENTRE DHARAMSHALA TO GET NEW BUILDING

HP University regional centre Dharamshala will get newly constructed building at Mollii (Khaniara) Distt. Kangra tomorrow i.e. 30th October, 2013. Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh in the gracious presence of Sh. Sudhir Sharma, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Town and Country Planning and Prof. A.D.N.Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, will inaugurate the building constructed at the cost of about 8 crores by HIMUDA. The foundation stone of this building was laid by Chief Minister Sh. Virbhadra Singh eight years back on 10th January, 2005.
This building will house the Institute of Legal Studies and Lecture rooms for other courses with one big library, eight lecture halls, one moot court, legal aid room, two seminar halls, three administrative rooms beside one room each for Director and Principal. This building will have the most modern facilities.
Established on 17 July, 1992 this centre cater to the educational needs of entire Kangra District some part of Hamirpur, Chamba and Una district. With the passage of time new courses like Journalism and Mass communication were introduce in this centre and more and more courses have been planned to start in this centre in the times to come which is in the priority list of the University. As the centre is heading towards the Silver Jubilee, new opportunities and expectations are yet to happen as a Mile Stones meant for higher education in the region.
