In view of the increasing unemployment, the state government has decided to open an employment sub-exchange at Nagrota Bagwan. This was stated by Transport, Food and Civil Supplies and Technical Education Minister GS Bali during a function at Nagrota today.
He distributed sports kits among various youth clubs of Rajiana, Raad, Nagrota Bagwan, Dhaloon and Malan. He said the state government was committed for the development of the sports in the state. He said there would be no financial dearth in the development of sports, he further added that the basic sports infrastructure was being strengthened and the funding to youth clubs had been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000.
He said emphasis was being laid to provide quality education to the youths and for this dozens of the higher education institutes had been opened. He said during the current tenure of the government, 42 new ITIs, eight polytechnics, four engineering colleges and one pharma college, architecture college and model excellence centre were opened.He urged youths to switch to technical education and training to have better future.
Later, he attended a freshers’ party at Government Degree College, Nagrota Bagwan, organised by the NSUI and gave prizes to the Mr and Miss Fresher.
