CM expresses concern over parties silence towards Opposition’s allegations

Addressing a public meeting, the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said it was the duty of the organisation to rebut attacks made by the political opponents on any member or leader of the Congress party. Expressing his displeasure over the organisation’s role, he said, it was strange that the party is mute over malicious allegations leveled against it’s  leaders by the Opposition instead of adopting a united stand. The Chief Minister said he was capable of answering and giving firm reply to the Opposition and lamented that the very reason for constituting the state, district and block Congress committees was to unitedly rebut the false propaganda of the opposition. He rued that the opposition was trying to play politics over the death of an innocent girl Guddia and added that they were also responsible for the unrest at Tissa in Chamba distric, tand said that those who were involved in loot and arson and had damaged public property won’t be spared and added that it was wrong to give political colour to the incidents for self-interest. The BJP leaders instead of sympathising the death of Guddia were flaring up the issue to be in news and gain cheap publicity. The Chief Minister said the BJP created a lot of hullabaloo on the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya and even collected funds for the same but as of today the temple had not come up. He questioned this move and said it was a political propaganda of the BJP to woo the voters. He also listed the development undertaken during last over four-and-a-half years.
