In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh pertaining to service matters of visually impaired at state secretariat here today, a decision was taken to fill the backlog as per the direction of the Supreme Court.
It was also decided to relax some qualification norms pertaining to providing jobs in government sector.
The Chief Minister said that even the visually impaired with 100 percent should be considered for vacancies.
Directions were issued to consider the process of filling the vacancies and complete all the formalities pertaining to visually impaired by 31st July, 2017.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Dr. Col. Dhani Ram Shandil, Additional Chief Secretaries Shri Tarun Shridhar, Shri Arvind Mehta, Shri AJV Prasad and other officers were also present on the occasion amongst the representatives of the federation.
