The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Raja Virbhadra Singh, today, launched the e-governance center at the DC office, at Dharamshala through video conferencing. The Minister for Housing, Urban Development , Town and Country Planning Sh Sudhir Sharma, who was present on the occasion, unveiled this facility for the local populace after the CM inaugurated the center through video conferencing while sitting in his office at Shimla and congratulated the team for the success of this project. He highlighted the fact that the starting of this would enable the local populace to avail all the benefits like procurement of the application forms for the various certifications like, Category certificates,Bonafides, Licenses etc. on line from this center and need not stand in cumbersome queues for obtaining these certificates. This puts an end to the heather to practice of falling prey to pimps for obtaining such certificates and also does away with running after officials and seeking favours from high ups to get their jobs done. It is also evident that now the applicants will be provided with tokens on line indicating their date and time for the execution of their requests. This center also provides air conditioned seating for up to 150 persons at a time. This e- governance center providing all the facilities for the general populace has been established at the DC Office at Dharamshala, and is facilitated with dedicated counters for the various services as required to obtain the certifications. All the documentation as required from the various offices of the DC, ADC-ADM,SDM, ADM, BDO’s, and Tehsildar’s will be available from the 11 counters set up in this center.
