Anurag blames CM for delay in CUHP

Dharamshala,

There seems to be no end to the controversy over the location of the Central University (CUHP), Kangra, as Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national chief and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur today blamed the Virbhadra regime for creating hurdles in the coming up of the institute.

The BJP MP appeared in court in connection with the case registered against the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), headed by him. “The university has already been delayed due to the adamant attitude of the state government,” he lamented. He added that the land had been identified at both places and then the UPA government had approved the proposal. The hearing in the case against the HPCA in which Anurag Thakur and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal have been named as accused was adjourned to March 21.The court also granted exemption to the former CM as he could not appear due to some personal preoccupation. Dhumal’s younger son Arun Thakur also remained absent while the two other accused, who didn’t appear, had been served notices.
